Exclusive Shacha Beef Tofu Casserole
Tender beef slices and firm white tofu bathe in fragrant Chaoshan shacha sauce inside a bubbling claypot. The nutty, savory-seafood paste perfumes every bite, a bold southern favorite that turns simple ingredients into pure comfort.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the beef and cut it into thin slices.
- 2
Add cornstarch to the beef and mix well first.
- 3
Add dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and satay sauce, and mix well.
- 4
Finally, add peanut oil and mix evenly to lock in the moisture.
- 5
Wash the enoki mushrooms and cut off the roots.
- 6
Cut the white dried tofu into small pieces (personally prefer this type of tofu from Chaoshan).
- 7
Wash the shallots and chop them.
- 8
Heat oil in the pan and add the tofu.
- 9
Pan-fry until both sides are golden brown.
- 10
In a bowl, add an appropriate amount of water, then add oyster sauce, light soy sauce, salt, satay sauce, and corn starch, and mix well.
- 11
Stir-fry shallots in a small amount of oil in a pan until fragrant.
- 12
Place the fried tofu on top.
- 13
Spread the beef evenly in the pan and pour in the sauce.
- 14
