Braised Japanese Tofu
Silky Japanese tofu is coated and fried into a delicate golden crust, then briefly braised in a savory brown sauce. The contrast of crisp shell and trembling custard interior makes every bite melt away luxuriously.
Instructions
- 1

Cut the Japanese-style tofu into sections in the middle with a knife, pour out the sides, and then cut it into smaller pieces again.
- 2

Soak the black fungus in water until it expands. Roll the tofu in starch one by one.

Fry them one by one in the oil until golden brown.
- 4

Heat oil in a pan, add garlic pieces, and stir-fry with green and red chili peppers until fragrant.
- 5

Add the black fungus and Japanese tofu and stir-fry, then add soy sauce, salt, and oyster sauce, and simmer with water.
- 6

Simmer for a little while to let it absorb the flavors.
- 7

Finally, thicken the sauce and serve. This simple and easy-to-make home-style dish is ready, and you can eat two bowls of rice with this dish.
