Stir-fried Asparagus with Button Mushrooms
Crisp asparagus spears and juicy button mushrooms flash-cook with sea salt and cracked black pepper in a bright, unfussy saute. Minimal seasoning lets their natural sweetness shine, making an elegant low-effort side for any main course.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the asparagus, trim off the older roots, and peel off the tougher skin. Wash the mushrooms and remove the stems.
- 2
Cut the asparagus. After boiling an appropriate amount of water, add the asparagus and cook for 2-3 minutes. If you prefer it softer, you can cook it a few more minutes, depending on personal taste. Slice the button mushrooms and set aside. Cut an appropriate amount of ginger and set aside.
- 3
Pour oil into a hot pan, add ginger, briefly sauté until fragrant, then add mushrooms and stir-fry for a few minutes. During this process, you can add a small amount of salt to enhance the flavor of the mushrooms.
- 4
When the button mushrooms are 80% cooked, add the cooked asparagus sections and stir-fry.
- 5
Add fresh pine shoots, stir-fry. Add sea salt and black pepper, stir-fry. The water is basically dry. Remove from the pan. After removing from the pan, you can add a little more sea salt and black pepper according to personal taste.
