Lotus Leaf Steamed Chicken
Chicken pieces are marinated with ginger, garlic and fermented seasonings, wrapped in fresh lotus leaves and steamed. The parcel traps steam and fragrance, yielding succulent meat perfumed with a gentle tea-like aroma from the leaf.
Instructions
- 1

Half a chicken.
- 2

Cut into pieces.
- 3

Prepare shiitake mushrooms, cordyceps flowers, and red dates.
- 4

A suitable amount of shredded ginger and scallions.
- 5

Pour all the ingredients together.
- 6

Add salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, and cornstarch, and mix evenly. Finally, drizzle in peanut oil to lock in the moisture, and marinate for half an hour.
- 7

Put the lotus leaves in the pot and boil for 10 minutes, so that the leaves become soft and also serve the purpose of high-temperature sterilization.
- 8

Spread the lotus leaf.
- 9

Put the marinated chicken into the lotus leaf.
- 10

Wrap it up and put it in the steamer.
- 11

Steam for 30 minutes.
