Chayote Stir-Fried with Beef
Beef slices marinated in soy and starch are seared, then combined with chayote that has been braised until tender, plus red pepper and a dash of pepper. Juicy meat, subtle sweet squash crunch and aromatic warmth complete the plate.
Instructions
- 1

Slice fresh beef, marinate with a little light soy sauce and cornstarch for 20 minutes.
- 2

Cut the chayote into slices and set aside (about five millimeters thick).
- 3

Cut the red bell pepper into pieces and set aside.
- 4

Pour an appropriate amount of oil into the pan, add the beef and stir-fry until it is no longer raw, then remove and set aside.
- 5

Pour an appropriate amount of oil into the pan, then add the chayote and stir-fry briefly.
- 6

Add a spoon of salt and continue to stir-fry.
- 7

Pour in half a bowl of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 8

Finally, add the red bell peppers and beef and continue stir-frying.
- 9

Sprinkle in the pepper.
- 10

Then add a little more light soy sauce, stir-fry for 3 minutes, and it's ready to serve.
