Mixed Stew with Spare Ribs and Green Beans
Spare ribs braise with soy sauce and thirteen-spice until tender, then potato, oil beans, tofu, vermicelli, and leafy greens join the pot for a rustic northern-style mixed stew loaded with comforting flavor.

Prepare the spices.

Blanch the ribs in boiling water, add cooking wine, green onions, and ginger, bring to a boil, then cook for 5 minutes.

Scoop it out, rinse it clean, and drain the water.
