Yam, carrot, chicken drumstick stew with mushrooms

Yam and carrot chunks simmer with soaked hazel mushrooms and cooked chicken drumsticks until everything turns fork-tender, yielding a golden, nourishing stew whose broth tastes deeply of mushroom and chicken.
