Braised Beef in Red Sauce
Beef turns fork-tender after just twenty minutes in the pressure cooker, braised in soy, fermented tofu brine, and warm spices. Deep mahogany sauce, melt-in-mouth meat, a set-it-and-forget-it Sunday classic.
Instructions
- 1

Wash the beef, soak it and change the water several times until there is no blood. Put an appropriate amount of water, scallion segments, and cooking wine in a pot, add the beef, bring it to a boil, and cook until no longer raw.
- 2

This is beef cooked with no blood water.
- 3

Scoop out and cut into pieces.
- 4

While hot, pour in light soy sauce and braised soy sauce, and mix until evenly colored.
- 5

Then add various seasonings, salt, and sugar.
- 6

Pour into the pressure cooker, and finally pour in the fermented bean curd sauce, then cook under pressure for 20 minutes.
- 7

The brewing time is up, and the aroma is overflowing.
- 8

Remove the beef, strain out the residue and discard it. Both braised soy sauce and fermented bean curd contribute to coloring.
