Chicken Wings and Oyster Casserole
In just eight minutes a bubbling clay pot transforms chicken wings and fresh oysters into an unexpectedly luxurious braise. The oysters plump up while the wings lend richness to the deeply savory sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients: Cut the chicken wings in half lengthwise, and marinate them with salt, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch for 10 minutes. Shuck the oysters and clean them with cornstarch, then set aside.
- 2
Pan-fry the marinated chicken wings until both sides are golden brown, then remove and set aside.
- 3
Next, prepare the onion and ginger pieces, and mix a sauce with light soy sauce, cooking wine, oyster sauce, sugar, and water, setting it aside for later use.
- 4
Pour oil into the clay pot, and stir-fry the onion, green pepper, and ginger until fragrant.
- 5
Then lay on the pan-fried chicken wings and oysters, finally pour in the sauce, cover with a lid and simmer for 8 minutes.
- 6
After a few minutes, just sprinkle in some chopped green onions.
