Steamed Minced Meat with Tomatoes
Ripe tomato halves become juicy little cups filled with seasoned minced pork, then steamed until the flavors mingle. The released juices are thickened into a glossy sauce poured right over the top.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare three tomatoes, wash them, cut a cross at the top, and cut off a piece from the bottom to set aside. Then use a spoon to scoop out the inside seeds and pulp.
- 2
Add salt to the minced meat, mix the eggs and cornstarch evenly, and marinate for 10 minutes, then stuff it into the tomatoes.
- 3
After the water boils in the steamer, put in the tomatoes and steam for 10 minutes, then peel off the skin.
- 4
Next, put the scooped-out tomato flesh into a wok, add ginger, chopped green onions, and boiling water, and let the soup thicken. Then, take everything out, add a bowl of starch water and pepper, cook until boiling, and pour it over the tomatoes. Finally, garnish with some chopped green onions.
