Fat-Reducing Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple (Chicken Breast, Not Fried)
Marinated chicken breast cubes are air-fried instead of deep-fried, then tossed with pineapple, bell peppers, and a glossy tomato-based sweet-sour sauce, a lighter take on the Cantonese classic that keeps all the tangy crunch without the grease.
Instructions
- 1
Peel the pineapple and cut it into small pieces.
- 2
Cut the chicken breast into 2 cm small pieces.
- 3
Add cooking wine, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and starch to the chicken breast and mix well, then marinate for 30 minutes.
- 4
Prepare the sauce: add 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to a bowl, then add water and mix well to set aside.
- 5
Coat the marinated chicken with a layer of starch.
- 6
Put it in the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring a few times in between.
- 7
If it feels too dry, you can spray a little oil on the surface.
- 8
Heat oil in a pan, then add the bell peppers and stir-fry.
- 9
Add the pineapple and sauce in sequence and stir-fry.
- 10
Bring the broth to a boil.
- 11
Add the chicken and stir, cooking over high heat until the sauce is reduced.
- 12
Sweet and sour pork with pineapple, sweet and sour with a fruity aroma.
