
Homemade Tofu Pudding
Steamed silken tofu is draped with a savory gravy of pork shreds, shiitake, wood ear and carrot brightened by pickled cucumber and vinegar, a homemade take on the beloved breakfast classic douhua.
Instructions

Invert the silken tofu onto a plate and steam for seven to eight minutes.

After steaming, use a small spoon to scoop it out and set aside.

Wash and prepare the required ingredients.

First stir-fry the shredded meat until fragrant and separated.

Add the shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, and shredded carrots and stir-fry until just cooked.

Add shredded pickles.

Mix well, add salt, sugar, light soy sauce, and aromatic vinegar for seasoning, then add starch water to thicken slightly.

Pour it over the steamed tofu.
