Homemade Steak
Pounded beef tenderloin is velveted with a touch of baking soda, marinated in black pepper, sugar and oyster sauce, then air-fried to a perfectly tender, juicy homemade steak.
Instructions
- 1
Use a meat tenderizer to pound the beef until it's tender. For areas with fascia, cut them open with scissors to prevent them from curling while cooking.
- 2
Only add a little baking soda; this can make the meat tissue tender, but adding too much will taste bad. Add 1 tablespoon of starch to achieve a smooth and tender effect.
- 3
Add an appropriate amount of crushed black pepper, sugar, oyster sauce, and light soy sauce into the meat to marinate for flavor, then add an appropriate amount of oil to seal it.
- 4
Place it in the air fryer and cook at 200 degrees for 8 minutes until fully cooked, with moderate softness and tenderness.
- 5
Plate it, add an appropriate amount of black pepper sauce, and it’s ready to eat.
