Minced Meat with Tofu Puffs
Tofu puffs snipped with a cross slit are packed with seasoned minced pork, pan-fried meat-side down, then braised briefly and finished with a glossy starch-thickened sauce over celery and carrot, so each airy puff soaks up savory meaty juices.
Instructions
- 1

Buy ready-made tofu puffs and cut a cross-shaped slit with scissors.
- 2

Add your favorite seasonings to the ground pork in advance, making it slightly saltier than usual.
- 3

Use chopsticks to add the pork filling little by little; don't add too much, or the tofu puff will break.
- 4

Prepare the side ingredients, use whatever you have, it's just for the color scheme. 😋
- 5

Pan-fry the meaty side in a skillet, then add a little water and braise for 8 minutes.
- 6

At this point, adjust the seasoning, add the ingredients and thicken the sauce, then remove from the heat.
- 7

Uncover the lid and turn the heat to high, pour in the starch water to thicken the sauce, stir-fry until the sauce is thick and coats the surface of the ingredients, season with a little salt, and sprinkle with chopped green onions or small chili peppers before serving.
