Pork Ribs Stewed with Apples
An unexpectedly lovely pairing: pork ribs browned with soy sauces and rock sugar simmer with sweet apple wedges and thin tofu sheets, so the fruit melts into the glossy gravy, lending gentle acidity and orchard fragrance to the rich ribs.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the ingredients: Soak the ribs in salt water, rinse them clean, and pat them dry with paper. Cut the apple into small wedges and set aside.
- 2
Put the ribs into the pot and fry until both sides are golden brown.
- 3
Then pour in dark soy sauce and light soy sauce for coloring, followed by adding yellow rock sugar.
- 4
Then add the apple slices and stir-fry for a while, then add boiling water to just cover the ingredients.
- 5
After the water boils, reduce to low heat and simmer for half an hour. During the process, add dried tofu sheets, then add salt for seasoning, and finally increase to high heat to reduce the sauce.
