Steamed celery leaves
Celery leaves dusted in flour steam into a fluffy Henan-style specialty, served with garlicky soy dressing, a clever zero-waste technique turning overlooked greens into tender, comforting delight.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the celery leaves clean and drain the water, an appropriate amount of flour, 2 cloves of garlic.
- 2
Spray a little oil on the celery leaves and stir, then sprinkle the flour in small amounts multiple times over the celery and mix evenly, just a thin layer of flour is enough.
- 3
Steam for 5 minutes after the water boils.
- 4
Crush the garlic into a paste, add salt, a spoonful of clear water, sesame oil, and stir-fry the celery briefly to release its aroma.
- 5
Put in the minced garlic and stir a bit.
- 6
It's both a staple food and a dish, a steamed dish loved by people in Henan, fluffy and non-sticky, very delicious!
