A Unique Fragrance [Fresh Korean Side Dish Perilla Leaves]
Perilla leaves are briefly steamed until soft, then stacked one by one with a garlicky soy-chili glaze brushed between every layer for a fragrant Korean-style side dish.
Instructions
- 1

Clean the perilla leaves.
- 2

Bring water in the steamer to a boil, divide into three portions and stack them, then cover.
- 3

Turn off the heat after it changes color and softens, and immediately open the lid.
- 4

Take an appropriate amount of mashed garlic, salt, chili powder, and sugar, and mix them evenly into soy sauce.
- 5

Take a perilla leaf and place it on a plate, brush a layer of sauce on it with a brush, then place a second leaf and brush another layer, repeating this process.
- 6

Finally, pour all the remaining sauce over the perilla leaves, marinate for a few hours, and once it is flavorful, it can be eaten.
