Air-dried beef jerky
Beef strips marinated in toasted spices are hung outdoors in cool weather for days, gradually drying into chewy homemade jerky.
Instructions
- 1
Sauté the seasonings with salt over low heat until fragrant and set aside.
- 2
Cut the beef into long strips and set aside.
- 3
If you like to tear it while eating, cut along the grain; if your teeth are weak, cut against the grain.
- 4
Pour all the seasonings into a bowl and mix evenly, marinate for about half an hour.
- 5
Place it on a grill and air-dry outdoors at around fifteen degrees for 48 hours. If you prefer it harder, you can leave it for a week. It depends on the weather, as high temperatures can spoil it easily.
- 6
Steam it for about thirty minutes before it's ready to eat.
- 7
It's very delicious when made according to your own taste.
