Apple Crisp
Apple Crisp made with whole milk powder, butter and native chicken oil, baked until golden and fragrant. Perfect with tea or as a snack.
Instructions
- 1
Method for making apple filling: Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes.
- 2
Heat a suitable amount of oil in a pan, add the apples and stir-fry for 2 minutes, then add the granulated sugar.
- 3
Add the starch water and stir evenly.
- 4
Puff pastry preparation method: After softening butter and chicken fat, add salt and granulated sugar, and whip with an egg beater.
- 5
Beat the eggs and pour them into the butter, then beat again until fluffy like feathers.
- 6
After mixing the low-gluten flour and milk powder, sift them into the butter mixture, then sprinkle in the chopped dried cranberries.
- 7
Gently fold with a soft spatula until no dry powder is visible. Place in a resealable bag and refrigerate for a period of time.
- 8
Divide the dough into 11 portions. Flatten the dough with your hands, then place the applesauce inside and wrap it up.
- 9
Place it into the mold with the closed side down (sprinkle a little flour and shake it), and press to shape. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Put the apple crisps on the baking tray. Brush a layer of honey water on the surface.
- 10
Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. It can be taken out when the surface is slightly yellow.
