Barbecue Flavor Steamed Twists (One-Time Fermentation)
Savory steamed twists brushed with oil and barbecue seasoning, rolled, stacked, and pressed with a chopstick; one-rise fermentation keeps them fluffy with a smoky, peppery swirl.
Instructions
- 1

Dissolve the yeast in warm water, mix it with the flour, and knead into a smooth dough.
- 2

No need to ferment, just roll the dough into a large long sheet, brush a layer of vegetable oil, sprinkle barbecue seasoning and salt, and spread it evenly.
- 3

Roll it up and cut it into small sections.
- 4

Stack the two pieces together and press them all the way down in the middle with chopsticks.
- 5

Fold the left and right sides down and bring them together.
- 6

Place in a square baking pan (or directly in the steamer basket) and let it ferment until it doubles in size.
- 7

Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then steam over medium heat for 35 minutes (if the steamed buns are large, steam for a longer time). Turn off the heat, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, and then uncover the pot.
- 8

Three-dimensional and aesthetically pleasing, with distinct layers.
- 9

Fluffy and soft, nutritious and delicious.
- 10

Unique flavor, pleasing to the eye and good for the stomach.
