Bird's Nest and Red Date Nourishing Beauty Soup
A luxurious double-boiled dessert of cleaned edible bird's nest with red dates, gently steamed for an hour until gelatinous, a traditional tonic prized for skin nourishment.
Instructions

Soak it for about 2-3 hours, and that's enough. Mine doesn't need to have the hair removed; it's very clean. It was sold by my own uncle in Indonesia, and he says it's good for pregnant women, nourishing and beneficial for the skin.

I just bought a new stew pot for a single person. Put in the soaked bird's nest, add water and three large red dates, but don’t add sugar. Add sugar only when you are about to eat it so that the nutrients can be preserved. Steam it over water for an hour, but don’t cook it too long. I’m using a Tianji stew pot.

Do not add too much water, preferably not too full, otherwise some steam will be lost. Once the lid is on, you can start.

After stewing, add the yellow rock sugar. The jujubes are already soft and mushy, melting in your mouth, very delicious and easy to digest. You can also add a few goji berries according to personal preference.
