Braised Pork Belly Rice
A deeply savory one-pot pork belly rice where caramelized sugar-coated pork belly braises with star anise, cinnamon and soy sauces before steaming over rice, soaking every grain in glossy sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Today's braised rice features pork belly as the main ingredient, without any side ingredients, finally achieving freedom in staple food and carbs. First, handle the pork belly by removing the skin and slicing it. Pour a little oil into the pan, first add rock sugar and stir-fry until it melts, then add the pork belly and stir-fry until it changes color and releases oil.
- 2
Throw all the seasonings such as scallions, ginger, star anise, bay leaves, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the pot and stir-fry until fragrant.
- 3
Pour in Premium Soy Sauce, dark soy sauce, and oyster sauce, stir-fry evenly. Braising the rice with a richer color will make it look more appetizing.
- 4
Add clean water, bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
- 5
Spread a layer of washed rice evenly in the inner pot of the rice cooker, then pour the pork belly along with all its broth into the pot, and select the rice cooking mode.
- 6
Stir the steamed rice evenly with a spatula, pick out all the seasonings, and then you can start eating. It's oily and delicious, absolutely amazing.
- 7
Turn on the eating mode.
