Cabbage Mixed with Vermicelli
Salt-cured cabbage shreds gain mellow sweetness from crisp apple, plenty of garlic and chewy vermicelli, all sharpened by white vinegar for a bright, crunchy finish.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the core of the Chinese cabbage.
- 2
Shred the inner part of the Chinese cabbage and peel the apple for later use.
- 3
Shred the cabbage, sprinkle with salt, and marinate for five minutes, then squeeze out the water and set aside.
- 4
Bring water to a boil in a pot, add the vermicelli and cook until soft, then immediately remove.
- 5
Soak the vermicelli in a bowl of cold water.
- 6
Cut the apple into shreds and put it into the bowl of cabbage.
- 7
Use a garlic press to crush a large amount of garlic into the bowl.
- 8
Add vermicelli, salt, MSG, a large amount of white sugar, white vinegar, and sesame oil.
- 9
Mix evenly and then plate.
