Carrot, Yam, and Lamb Soup
A warming mutton soup simmered with black cardamom, Sichuan peppercorns, and cooking wine, then finished with carrot and Chinese yam chunks until tender and mildly sweet.
Instructions
- 1

Cut the mutton into small cubes and blanch it for later use.
- 2

Add water to the pot, a small amount of salt, then put in the blanched mutton, add an appropriate amount of tsaoko, Sichuan pepper, and cooking wine, and cook for 40 minutes (adjust the cooking time according to the type of pot).
- 3

Cut the carrots and Chinese yams into large, irregular pieces.
- 4

When the time is up, put the carrots and Chinese yam into the pot, add the sliced green onions and ginger slices, and an appropriate amount of salt.
- 5

Cook for a few minutes until the ingredients are soft and tender, and then it can be served~ The lamb soup with a mix of meat and vegetables is very nutritious, but it lacks a bit of whole grain. There's no need to make a coarse grain porridge; just use one minute to mix a packet of five-grain powder, and the problem is perfectly solved~
