Christmas Tree Mashed Potatoes
Festive mashed potatoes blended with flour, milk and sesame, pressed into a Christmas tree mold and fried until golden outside while staying fluffy inside; a playful holiday side.
Instructions
- 1
Peel the potatoes, slice them, and steam until cooked. Mash them while hot.
- 2
Take a small spoonful of mashed potatoes, add some flour, then add milk. Stir it a bit. (I add the mashed potatoes in batches, this makes it easier to mix).
- 3
Add the remaining mashed potatoes and sesame seeds. Mix well, and it will become a relatively dry mash.
- 4
Spread some oil on the cutting board, put the mashed potatoes into the mold, and also spread some oil on the inside walls of the mold. After shaping it, remove the mold and carefully transfer it into the frying pan. Fry over low heat until both sides are golden brown.

This is how it looks when done. It's not very well-formed because some of the paste came out while frying, but overall the shape is still intact.
