Creative Art Egg
Decorated eggs with small leaves pressed against the shell and secured in stockings, then boiled in salted water to leave crisp, delicate leaf silhouettes as a charming natural pattern.
Instructions
- 1

Choose eggs that are white or light-colored and clean them thoroughly.
- 2

Picked from the community courtyard and cleaned.
- 3

The stockings are new.
- 4

Dip the small leaves in water and place them on the eggs, then cover the eggs with stockings and tie a knot. To save stockings, I used one stocking for two eggs (each knot must be tied tightly), and the leaf pattern is clear.
- 5

Add water to the pot, add an appropriate amount of salt, put in the eggs, then turn on the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 6

Then add an appropriate amount of red yeast rice (first mix a small amount with a little water in a small bowl before pouring it into the pot), and add an appropriate amount of dark soy sauce.
- 7

Take the eggs out of the pot (actually, they should be soaked for another 2 to 3 hours, which would make the color deeper and prettier, but I only soaked them for half an hour because I had to go out).
- 8

Carefully unravel the stockings one by one, take out the eggs, wash them, line the plate with leaves, and arrange the artistic eggs—it looks very beautiful!
- 9

I used to make it twice with the eggs peeled, and the effect was very good. Now in the summer, because it's hot and easy to spoil, I didn't peel them, peeling them as I eat. The Dragon Boat Festival eggs have arrived!
