Creative Quick-Fried Dough Sticks
Quick-rising fried dough sticks made from a flour blend with green tea powder, folded and rested three times before shaping and deep-frying into crisp, hollow, golden batons.
Instructions
- 1

First, mix various types of flour and green tea powder evenly, then add the liquid ingredients.
- 2

Use the folding and pressing method to form the dough, cover and let it rest for 20 minutes (the dough will not be very smooth the first time).
- 3

Fold and pat it toward the center a second time, cover and let the dough rest for 20 minutes again. The dough is already relatively smooth (a bit little green tea powder was added).
- 4

Third time folding and pressing the dough (the dough is very smooth).
- 5

Take the dough out of the bowl, wrap it with plastic wrap, and let it rest in a cool place for 20 minutes.
- 6

Place the dough on the surface and roll it out directly (no need to knead it again).
- 7

Cut into even strips.
- 8

Spread water on the middle of one strip, overlap it with another strip, and press the middle with chopsticks.
- 9

The pot is heated, and the dough sticks are added for frying.
- 10

Because the surface area of oil in the pan is narrow, only one can be fried at a time.
- 11

Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain the oil.
- 12

It only took two hours at lunch to serve the family youtiao. The homemade youtiao are fluffy and crispy, with an attractive color, rivaling takeout.
- 13

Fried two plates, appetizing.
- 14

The cut youtiao has no hard dough lumps, no dead corners, and its fluffy pores are the result of layered rolling, very good.
