Crispy Flowered Baked Bun
Halved steamed buns scored into a blossom pattern, brushed generously with melted butter, sprinkled with coarse sugar and baked until the petals turn crisp and caramelized.
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients. Put the butter into a small bowl and melt it in a double boiler in advance for later use.
- 2
Tear off the skin of the steamed bun; this way, it will be crispier when baked.
- 3
Score a grid pattern on the surface of the steamed bun with a knife, trying to cut deeper, but do not cut all the way through, as this will create a better blooming effect.
- 4
Brush the surface of the steamed bun generously with butter, making sure the butter seeps into the gaps of the grid, then sprinkle a layer of coarse sugar on top, and it is ready to be baked in the oven.
- 5
Preheat the air fryer oven (oven) to 180 degrees, middle rack, top and bottom heat, bake for about 15 minutes.
- 6
It can be taken out of the oven once the surface turns golden brown. After taking it out, you can drizzle a little honey on the surface before eating; it will be crispy, fragrant, and sweet.
- 7
Delicious, delicious.
