Daughter's birthday cake
Daughter's birthday cake — 8-inch Tall Chiffon Cake, light cream and white sugar, baked until light, fluffy and golden. A great choice for family gatherings or a weekend treat.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the cake base in advance. (You can refer to my recipe for the method and ingredients.)
- 2

Cut the fruit into cubes. (I used dragon fruit and golden kiwi.)
- 3

3 slices of cake.
- 4

Whip the heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form. (Take a small amount and mix it with pink food coloring.)
- 5

Place a piece of cake on the cake board, spread a thin layer of fresh cream, and put diced fruit on top.
- 6

Place another layer of cake slices, spread light cream, add diced fruits, and then place another layer of cake slices.
- 7

Use the remaining light cream to smooth the cake, and randomly add the pink-tinted light cream and smooth it out to achieve the effect shown in the picture. (Smoothing is my weak point.)
- 8

Finally, just decorate the cake casually with rice paper.
- 9

The finished product, quite ethereal, right?
- 10

One more, the effect is so satisfying, haha...
- 11

How to decorate with rice paper: Vietnamese rice paper is also called Vietnamese spring roll wrappers.
- 12

Add food coloring to the water and mix evenly.
- 13

Wrinkle the baking parchment.
- 14

Vietnamese rice paper can be cut into small pieces at will, soaked until soft, about 1 minute.
- 15

Shape it on oil paper.
- 16

Once completely dried, you can remove the parchment paper.
- 17

Brush the edges with edible gold powder, and it instantly becomes elegant. (Rice paper needs to be made 1-2 days in advance and must be completely dry before use.)
