Dragon Bone Purple Sweet Potato Soup
A rustic pork spine soup simmered long with purple sweet potato, lotus seeds, and lily bulbs, the starchy tuber lending gentle sweetness to a hearty, mineral-rich broth.

Clean the dragon bone, put it into the pot and blanch it, then take it out and wash it clean.

Place the pork bones and ginger into the rice cooker, and add water to the pot. Cover with the lid and select the soup program. The cooking time can be 1.5 to 2 hours. I like the soup to be stronger, so I usually choose 2 hours.

Boil the bones for 1 hour first, then add the soaked lotus seeds and lily bulbs along with the purple sweet potatoes into the pot to cook together. The purple sweet potatoes can actually be added half an hour later, but I put them in directly because I had to take the kids out for outdoor activities. When it's done and the rice cooker switches to the keep-warm mode, add the goji berries. The picture was taken after the soup was cooked.

Add salt, serve in a bowl, and let's eat.
