A thrifty home soup of leftover duck bones simmered with ginger, corn, and winter melon, giving a light, subtly sweet broth with tender vegetables.
Instructions

- 2

Remove the meat from the duck, leaving the bones and duck wings. Peel the winter melon and slice it, and cut the corn into small sections.
- 3

For clear soup, first put the duck carcass into the water, add slices of ginger, and bring it to a boil.
- 4

After the water boils, cook for five minutes, then add corn and winter melon and cook for eight minutes.
- 5

Add an appropriate amount of salt after the winter melon has been cooked until nearly tender.
