Durian Pork Rib Corn Carrot Soup
A daring Cantonese-style tonic soup: pork ribs are long-simmered with creamy durian pith, sweet corn and carrot, producing a rich, oddly harmonious broth with gentle durian fragrance.
Instructions
- 1

Cut the ribs into small pieces and put them in cold water to boil.
- 2

Remove the blood, wash the ribs clean, add enough water at once along with the sliced ginger, and simmer for half an hour.
- 3

Cut the durian flesh into small pieces and set aside.
- 4

After stewing the pork ribs for half an hour, add the prepared diced durian pouch and continue to stew for another fifteen minutes.
- 5

Cut the carrots into small pieces and cut the corn into sections, set aside.
- 6

Add the soup from simmering durian pockets for fifteen minutes, then add carrots and corn, and simmer for twenty minutes.
- 7

Five minutes before removing from the heat, add an appropriate amount of salt to complete the dish.
