Edible hawthorn flower
Tart hawthorn fruit pureed, strained, and slowly cooked down with sugar and lemon into a glossy ruby-red paste, then shaped into delicate edible flowers.
Instructions
- 1

Rinse the hawthorns repeatedly, put them in a pot and boil for 3 to 5 minutes, then let them cool so that the stems and bottoms can be easily removed. Next, remove the hawthorn pits, and after the hawthorns are prepared, put them into a blender, add an appropriate amount of water, and blend into a puree.
- 2

After the hawthorn puree is passed through a fine sieve, put it into a pot and stir continuously, then add an appropriate amount of sugar and the juice of one lemon and continue stirring.
- 3

The moisture is decreasing and it is becoming more viscous. When simmered, the scrapped extraction of hawthorn paste forms a chamfer and drips down until it stops.
- 4

After letting the hawthorn puree cool, use this scraper to spread it on the countertop (my countertop is stainless steel) and let it sit for a day.
- 5

The hawthorn peel is made with a very uniform thickness and is cut into long strips.
- 6

Trim it to the required size again; the color looks better in photos in the bright areas.
- 7

Double success.
- 8

Cut into a serrated shape.
- 9

Then roll it from the side and secure the bottom with a toothpick, and a small bright red flower, both beautiful and edible, appears before your eyes.
- 10

Shuang made two flowers, which can be both appreciated and eaten. Three hawthorn fruits can be used to make an afternoon tea snack!
- 11

Made hawthorn rolls and fruit leather again (no added coloring), completely safe to eat.
