Exclusive Bean Curd Nest
Rustic cornmeal nests studded with chopped long beans and carrot, steamed into a hearty, savory staple with a pleasant coarse texture.
Instructions
- 1

Wash the broad beans and put them in a pot of boiling water. Add salt and cooking oil and blanch for 1 minute (adding salt and cooking oil can make the broad beans a bright green color).
- 2

Wash the carrots and then cut them into small cubes.
- 3

Blanched green beans are chopped into small pieces.
- 4

Put Jiang dou cubes and chopped carrots into the bowl.
- 5

Add salt and thirteen-spice powder.
- 6

Add MSG.
- 7

Add baking soda (can prevent the soybeans from changing color).
- 8

Add oyster sauce.
- 9

Pour the flour in small amounts multiple times.
- 10

After mixing evenly, it can be formed into a ball by hand.
- 11

Dip both hands in cooking oil and shape the gathered vegetable mass into the shape of a corn bun.
- 12

Place the shaped corn buns into the steamer and steam for 15 minutes after the water starts boiling.
- 13

Jiangdou cornbread is freshly baked.
- 14

It is very delicious when paired with dipping sauce.
