Exclusive Black Whole Wheat Pink Jujube Pumpkin Steamed Bun
Naturally sweetened steamed buns blending black whole-wheat flour with pumpkin puree and chewy jujube pieces, fermented until airy for a moist, malty, subtly sweet healthy staple.
Instructions
- 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients: as shown in the picture, pumpkin, red dates, whole black wheat flour, low-gluten flour, all-purpose flour, and yeast powder.
- 2

Put the pumpkin into a steamer and steam until cooked, then mash it while hot and set aside.
- 3

Put the pumpkin puree (only operate when the temperature drops below 40 degrees), black whole wheat flour, low-gluten flour, and all-purpose flour in a ratio of 5:1:1, then add an appropriate amount of yeast and enough water. Put all these ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer and start kneading.
- 4

The dough has been kneaded to the look you want; this is the dough after kneading for five minutes, and I think it's ready.
- 5

Let it naturally ferment indoors (the temperature today is 28 degrees).
- 6

This is after fermenting for an hour, and it has risen well.
- 7

Then put the dough and crushed red dates into the kneading bucket, and start kneading for about five minutes.
- 8

After kneading, take it out and tidy it up a bit more.
- 9

Roll into a long strip.
- 10

Then cut into pieces, or, according to personal preference, it can also be rolled into round buns.
- 11

Place them separately into a steamer to rise again for about 15 minutes, then steam with cold water brought to a boil over high heat for 15 minutes and let rest for 5 minutes.
- 12

The steamed buns turned out well, and they smell really good.
