Exclusive Braised Five-Spice Peanuts
Raw peanuts steep overnight in salted water, then simmer low and slow with five-spice aromatics and dried chilies until every kernel turns savory and plush.
Instructions
- 1

Wash the peanuts and add them to water with salt.
- 2

Soak overnight.
- 3

Add water to the pot and add the spices.
- 4

Add salt.
- 5

Cover the pot and bring it to a boil.
- 6

Add two dried chili peppers, cover the pot, and cook until the peanuts are fully cooked.
- 7

Place clean water in the basin and put it in the pot used for boiling peanuts, allowing the peanuts to fully soak in the broth.
- 8

Adjust the soaking time according to the level of seasoning; I cook it before going to work in the morning, and it’s just right to eat when I come home in the evening.
- 9

Serve onto a plate.
