Exclusive Cabbage and Pork Dumplings
Hearty boiled dumplings pairing whipped pork filling with kohlrabi shreds salted, squeezed, and chopped for crunch, seasoned with five-spice, soy, and egg for juicy, aromatic bites.
Instructions
- 1
Remove the skin from the pork and chop it finely, then mince the green onion and ginger.
- 2
Put it into the basin.
- 3
Add 13g of salt, 2g of five-spice powder, 10g of light soy sauce, 5g of dark soy sauce, 3g of MSG, 1 egg, and 200g of water, and stir in one direction until it becomes firm.
- 4
Peel the kohlrabi and cut it into thin strips, add a little salt, and marinate for about 10 minutes.
- 5
Squeeze out the moisture.
- 6
Chop finely.
- 7
Put the minced meat and rutabaga together and mix evenly.
- 8
The dough for making dumplings should be slightly soft. Knead it in advance, cover it with a damp cloth, and repeatedly rest and knead. Pinch it into portions of uniform size.
- 9
Wrap it in the way you like.
- 10
The water for boiling dumplings should be plentiful; once it reaches a boil, keep it at a gentle simmer, and there is no need to add more water.
- 11
Finished product. Fragrant and refreshing, aromatic but not greasy.
