Exclusive Cordyceps Flower Chicken Drumstick Soup
A clear, nourishing Chinese soup of blanched chicken drumsticks simmered with ginger, then finished with cordyceps flowers and salt for a subtly earthy, restorative broth.
Instructions
- 1

Use an appropriate amount of fresh cordyceps flowers, rinse them with cold water and set aside.
- 2

Three fresh chicken legs.
- 3

Chop into large pieces. (I chopped off the joints and threw them away 😅)
- 4

Pour cold water into the pot and turn on the heat.
- 5

Pour in a little cooking wine to remove the fishy smell, blanch briefly, then take it out.
- 6

Rinse off the foam with warm water.
- 7

Add an appropriate amount of clean water to the pot, along with chicken leg pieces and slices of ginger.
- 8

Simmer over low to medium heat for twenty minutes.
- 9

Add the cordyceps flowers and season with an appropriate amount of salt.
- 10

Stew for ten minutes and then turn off the heat.
- 11

The soup is a tempting golden color, and even the chicken pieces have turned orange-yellow 😍
- 12

I only added salt as seasoning; the white pepper powder is already very flavorful. (Adjust the seasoning according to your dietary habits; some people like to add cilantro, sesame oil, or aged vinegar, as you prefer)
- 13

Sprinkle chopped green onions, drink the soup and eat the meat, it's so delicious 😍
