Exclusive Gai Lan Beef Rice Bowl
A Cantonese rice bowl of tender marinated beef and crisp gai lan over soy-tossed egg rice, wok-seared hot for a savory, slightly bitter, satisfying meal.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the beef and cut it into thin slices.
- 2
Add cornstarch, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, and satay sauce, and mix well.
- 3
Then add an appropriate amount of peanut oil and mix well to lock in the moisture.
- 4
Wash the Chinese kale and cut it into sections.
- 5
Add an egg to the rice and mix evenly.
- 6
Heat oil in a pan and add the rice, stir-fry on high heat.
- 7
After stir-frying and breaking apart, season with a little light soy sauce.
- 8
After quickly stir-frying evenly over high heat, set aside.
- 9
Heat oil in a pan and stir-fry the Chinese kale.
- 10
Add the beef and stir-fry together.
- 11
Add an appropriate amount of water and boil until just cooked. If you like a stronger satay flavor, you can add a little more satay sauce.
- 12
Bring to a boil after thickening with starch water.
- 13
Stir-fried beef with Chinese broccoli poured over rice (personally, I like it with more sauce).
