Exclusive Pickled Cabbage and Pork Bone Soup
A robust northeastern-style soup of pork bones simmered with pickled cabbage, star anise and dried tangerine peel for a tangy, deeply savory, appetite-sharpening broth.
Instructions
- 1

Fresh bone segments, I bought this one today and it has a bit more meat on it. Soak in cold water for half an hour to draw out the blood.
- 2

Place in a pot with cold water, add cooking wine and ginger slices. Boil to remove the blood. Clean thoroughly and set aside.
- 3

Put the large bones in the clay pot. Add star anise, dried tangerine peel, ginger slices, and Sichuan peppercorns with water. Then cut the pickled vegetables into small pieces and put them in. Boil over high heat.
- 4

Turn to low heat. Add the chopped green onion pieces. Add white pepper powder. Slowly. Stew.
- 5

Stew for more than an hour.
- 6

Taste it before taking it off the heat. Add a little salt if it's lacking flavor. Add some chicken essence for seasoning. Sprinkle with chopped green onions, and a simple delicious dish is ready.
