Exclusive Pork Floss
Lean pork is simmered with aromatics, shredded fine, then toasted in a bread machine until it becomes fluffy, savory floss perfect for congee and buns.
Instructions
- 1
Cut the lean pork into small pieces, preferably tenderloin. Put it into a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and include green onions, cooking wine, and old ginger. Cook over medium heat for about 30 to 40 minutes. Once it becomes soft when pinched, remove it and let it drain.
- 2
Then tear it into small pieces.
- 3
You can also skip this step if you rub it hard with both hands.
- 4
Put it in the bread machine.
- 5
Select the meat floss function. Proceed...
- 6
At 34 minutes, about halfway through.
- 7
Add an appropriate amount of salt, oil, light soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Actually, it might be better not to add oyster sauce, so the result would be drier, or you can add your preferred seasonings (dry spices).
- 8
Add sesame seeds or seaweed in the last 5 minutes.
- 9
It's quite fragrant when it's done.
- 10
If you like it, you can give it a try.
- 11
Rice balls, sandwiches... can all be used.
