Exclusive Pumpkin Red Bean Roll

Exclusive Pumpkin Red Bean Roll

Golden steamed rolls made with naturally sweet pumpkin puree kneaded into the dough, swirled around smooth red bean paste for a soft, fluffy, gently sweet treat.

Instructions

  1. 1
    Step image

Peel the pumpkin and cut it into thin slices.

  2. 2
    Step image

Put it into the electric cooker and steam until cooked.

  3. 3
    Step image

The steamed pumpkin retains some moisture, just enough so that no water needs to be added when kneading the dough later.

  4. 4
    Step image

While hot, mash the pumpkin into a puree and let it cool slightly.

  5. 5
    Step image

Then add the flour and yeast.

  6. 6
    Step image

Stir until it forms large clumps.

  7. 7
    Step image

Knead it into a smooth dough again, then let it ferment.

  8. 8
    Step image

The dough will be ready in about an hour and a half.

  9. 9
    Step image

Take it out and knead it more to release the air.

  10. 10
    Step image

    Prepare red bean paste.

  11. 11
    Step image

Roll the dough into a rectangle.

  12. 12
    Step image

Spread the red bean paste evenly over the dough (it's better to mix the red bean paste with a little warm water to make it slightly thinner for spreading).

  13. 13
    Step image

Then roll up the dough skin.

  14. 14
    Step image

    Cut into equal small pieces.

  15. 15
    Step image

Place it in the steamer to rest for another 20 minutes, then steam it in a cold-water pot for 15-20 minutes.

  16. 16
    Step image

Very satisfied with how it looks after steaming; it is fragrant, sweet, soft, and delicious.
