Exclusive Red Bean and Two-Grain Zongzi
Glutinous rice blended with black rice and red beans, wrapped in bamboo leaves and boiled until dense, chewy and deeply nutty-sweet.
Instructions
- 1
Ingredients: glutinous rice, black rice (soaked overnight in advance).
- 2
Red beans (soaked overnight in advance).
- 3
Zong leaves (soaked and cleaned).
- 4
Mix the glutinous rice with the soaked black rice and red beans, and wash them clean together.
- 5
Next, take the bamboo leaf and tear off the curled parts on both sides to use as a string for the zongzi. Use scissors to cut off any damaged parts, roll it into a funnel shape, and put in red beans and glutinous rice.
- 6
Wrap it according to your own method and tie it with a brown rope.
- 7
Then, place them in the rice cooker and add enough water to cover the wrapped zongzi.
- 8
Cover with the lid, plug in the power, press the rice cooking button and cook for 3 hours, and it’s done.
- 9
Finally, open the lid and take out the cooked zongzi.
- 10
Peel off the zong leaves, and you can eat it. (You can add sugar yourself.)
