Exclusive Red Date and Walnut Rice Wine Rise Cake
Airy steamed fa gao leavened naturally by fermented rice, studded with chewy red date strips and walnut kernels; tender, sweet, subtly wine-fragrant crumb, served sliced.
Instructions
- 1

Add rice wine to the flour and stir evenly with warm water. Add yeast and sugar and continue stirring.
- 2

Pit the red dates and cut them into small strips, and remove the walnut kernels. Mix them with the flour paste. Seal and ferment at room temperature until it doubles in size.
- 3

After fermentation, place it in a greased container and steam for fifty minutes.
- 4

Take it out after steaming and let it cool.
- 5

Slice.
- 6

Plate it. Sweet but not greasy, pretty good.
