Exclusive Sichuan-style Salty Rice
Sichuan-style savory one-pot rice with pork belly cubes rendered crisp, fresh peas, and Sichuan peppercorn and five-spice seasoning, slow-cooked until glutinous and aromatic.
Instructions
- 1

Cut the pork into 1.5 cm cubes and set aside.
- 2

Half glutinous rice and half regular rice.
- 3

Fresh peas set aside.
- 4

Put oil in an iron wok to stir-fry meat, and render the fat from the fatty meat.
- 5

Pour in the peas and stir-fry.
- 6

Pour in the rice and stir-fry, add seasonings including five-spice powder, ground Sichuan pepper, MSG, soy sauce, and Huadiao wine.
- 7

Pour the prepared mixture into the rice cooker, then add an appropriate amount of boiling water, enough to cover the rice.
- 8

Cook for 1 and a half hours or cook in an electric pressure cooker for 20 minutes.
- 9

After the seasoned rice is ready, use a rice paddle to evenly mix the meat and peas, then serve; it's perfectly done.
