Exclusive Simple Version Five-Color Glutinous Rice
Festive five-color glutinous rice dyed naturally with black rice water, red-orange wood simmer, and butterfly pea flower infusions turned violet with lemon, then steamed for chewy, jewel-toned grains.
Instructions
- 1

Rinse the black rice once and then soak it in water.
- 2

Boil red sandalwood in a small amount of water for more than 10 minutes.
- 3

Steep butterfly pea flowers in boiling water.
- 4

After soaking for half an hour, pour out the blue water.
- 5

After brewing butterfly pea flowers with lemon slices for the second time, the water turns purple (the quantity is insufficient, so the water is purple, but when used to soak rice, it can only turn light blue).
- 6

Wash the glutinous rice.
- 7

Pour an appropriate amount of glutinous rice into the water of the other three colors to soak, and soak the remaining in clear water.
- 8

After a few hours.
- 9

Set the blue and orange rice water aside.
- 10

Drain the black and white rice and set aside.
- 11

Line the steamer basket with cheesecloth, invert the outer box of the mold, which is the largest mold, in the middle of the steamer, and fill the outer ring with blue rice.
- 12

Remove the outer mold box and put in several small molds.
- 13

Add various types of rice layer by layer, and when the colored rice is insufficient, use white glutinous rice as a base to adjust the amount of rice.
- 14

Add some bitter buckwheat to the white glutinous rice in the middle to increase the yellow, completing the five colors.
- 15

Remove the mold, and use tweezers to return the misplaced grains of rice to their original positions.
- 16

Steam it after the water boils.
- 17

When I was young, I left the pot.
