Exclusive Steamed Five-Grain Rice with Sausage
Plump five-grain rice soaked for hours, steamed in a clay bowl with a splash of sesame oil and vinegar until fragrant and chewy, enriched with sliced cured sausage.
Instructions
- 1

The grains need to soak for more than four hours.
- 2

Rinse the soaked multigrain rice with half a cup of rice (the multigrain rice alone tastes good, but cooking it with half a cup of rice improves the texture; this is the ratio my family prefers).
- 3

Scoop into a tile bowl.
- 4

Add an appropriate amount of water, a few drops of sesame oil, and white vinegar; the cooked rice will be fragrant, soft, and chewy.
- 5

Put it in the steamer and steam on high heat for 35 minutes.
- 6

While the rice is steaming, handle the Chinese sausage by rinsing it with hot water and then slice it for later use.
- 7

Open the lid after the surface of the rice is no longer watery.
- 8

Place the Chinese sausages on the surface of the rice, cover with the lid, and continue steaming for 10 minutes. Letting it sit for a while after cooking will improve the taste.
- 9

Steamed rice looks really appetizing.
