Exclusive White Fungus and Snow Pear Soup
A gentle sweet soup slow-cooked for hours so snow fungus and pear release their pectin, yielding a thick, glossy syrup with rock sugar.
Instructions
- 1

Add white fungus, snow pear, and rock sugar to a small pot.
- 2

One pear, two pieces of white fungus, three pieces of rock sugar, plus a small electric pot of 100 watts, which can only hold less than two jin of water.
- 3

Soak the white fungus in cold water for five minutes, and remove the tough roots.
- 4

Place the well-picked and cleaned white fungus into the pot, add over 900ml of water, and start simmering the soup.
- 5

Choose the automatic program and cook for about three hours. With a small pot on low heat, it won’t even use one kilowatt-hour in a whole morning.
- 6

Peel and core the pear, then slice it.
- 7

Put the cooked white fungus, pear slices, and rock sugar together to simmer.
- 8

Boil the pear for five minutes and it's still bland.
- 9

Boil for 10 minutes until the pear is cooked through and the white fungus is transparent.
- 10

Look, the collagen is obvious.
- 11

White fungus and snow pear soup is tasty and also beautifying.
