Farewell My Concubine premiere
A luxurious Chinese banquet stew of soft-shell turtle and chicken slowly braised with lard, ginger, red dates, goji, and codonopsis into a rich, restorative, deeply savory medicinal broth.
Instructions
- 1

First, separate the soft-shelled turtle's shell from the meat, scald it with boiling water, and brush off the thin layer of skin on the shell.
- 2

Chop the meat quickly, after blanching in water, add a small amount of lard, stir-fry briefly with scallions and ginger, then bring to a boil over high heat.
- 3

Put it into a pressure cooker and simmer on low heat for one hour. Add red dates, goji berries, and codonopsis five minutes before turning off the heat, and season according to your taste.
