First release of red bean paste and fermented rice small dumplings
Tiny chewy glutinous rice dumplings swim in a sweet soup of silky red bean paste and boozy fermented rice, a cozy dessert with mellow, milky depth.
Instructions
- 1

Soaked red beans in water overnight, only to later realize that these are adzuki beans, not red small beans; I should have used red small beans.
- 2

Boil red beans in water and add rock sugar.
- 3

Mash the cooked adzuki beans into red bean paste.
- 4

Pour hot water over the small round dumplings.
- 5

Red bean paste is added to fermented rice.
- 6

Cook the small rice balls until done, then take them out and put them into the red bean paste and fermented rice mixture.
- 7

Stir evenly.
- 8

Very delicious.
